Chris was born and raised in Sheffield. He left school aged 16 with the bare minimum of qualifications and started working for a government training scheme at a time of high unemployment in the early 1980s. Hard-working and determined as he was, Chris soon secured a permanent role as a Wages Clerk for an engineering company where he stayed for 13 years, progressing through several roles in Treasury, Credit Control and eventually Management Accounts. He then spent 15 years in the construction industry working for SIG plc where he qualified in 2013. Chris joined our Sheffield branch in January 2021.
